Dyeing or spray painting a belt question...

Trying to finish a custom Dynamo figure and wanted to know if a repro Conan Belt can be dyed or spray painted. If it can be sprayed, is there a process that I should follow that has the best results of the paint sticking to the plastic belts permanently? Thanks for any tips that anyone can provide.

CTVT has a black one, it could just be drybrushed with silver to get the metallic look.

I'm curious about this also. I wonder if it would take Rit dye in boiling water like other Mego pieces?

Rit dye used to work good on soft pvc, they changed the formula lately and it does not work like it used to.

Krylon makes a paint called Fusion for Plastic. It works great on other bigger projects I have done. A little pricey for such a small project. Unless you plan on doing other things in that color. If you go to there website it has a chart of all the colors they offer.

I've used acrylic paint on some just like I would for heads. I even used a paint pen on Birdmans belt and it worked fine.
