Star Trek 3.75" scale bridge custom/remake

I posted something about the rumored Vulcan shuttle in a different thread, but it got me thinking.

First, I have a couple of the Enterprise bridge playsets for 3.75"scale. One that my folks were smart enough to buy and keep boxed and put away all of these years and another opened one, but with box and I believe complete that I just happened to get lucky enough to get a smoking deal on a few years back.

My question is, as rare as these playsets are, has anyone tried copying the molds for these and attempted to Vacuform a reproduction? I honestly have never done vacuform work at all, but while I do understand the basics of it I would be too scared to try it myself.

If anyone is interested, preferably in the Tacoma, WA area I might be talked into giving this a go if here is a chance of success without destroying the original. Personally I would like to use a repro of it to make a full bridge if possible, but at the very least it could help some folks out here still looking for this set to be in their collection (repro of course).

Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts please post.
    Looking for:

And while at it, maybe a crack can be taken at the mythical Vulcan shuttle?
