    MediCom 12" RAH body repair

    Hey guys,

Austin suggested I try posting this in the custom section here, so I apologize for a double post. Admins, please remove the other post from the modern toys section if need be.

So, I have an issue. I have a 12" Medicom Spider-Man, and he is sewn in to the suit rather well and I accidentally snapped a hip post, so his left leg is no longer attached. What I need, is someone who knows how to repair this leg for me, and also be good enough with the material to be able to unsticth and restich the suit so you can't tell it was repaired. If you can help me out, or know who can, please get in touch. I'm pretty crushed this broke on me.

I contacted MediCom, and they responded with

    "Dear Customer,

We are afraid but it has been quite long time since the release and we are not able to either replace or fix because we do not carry any more replacements."

Anyone here have any experience with this? What is the closest body to replace this with? The 301? The Massive? And is the chest piece swappable? Non-Mego stuff, I have no clue about. I would happily compensate someone who can do this for me if I't beyond my skills.

    Thanks!

    Paul

I did see that page in my search, unfortunately he doesn't give any real information on the fix, other than he did it.

I ordered a Medicom Massive2 body today, and from what I can tell, some of the super hero muscles can easily be moved to the new body. I have a fix for the body hopefully, so now it's a matter of finding an expert to re-stitch the suit for me.

Paul, I looked at the pic on the link that was posted in response to your post, http://www.custom-workz-charoensap.com/2010/11/12-inch-medicom-rah-spider-man-repair.html

It looks like he just drilled a hole in Spidey's left cheek and ran a short screw through there that grabs the broken hollow peg. I guess I wouldn't have though of that. Seems a bit archaic but it wouldn't show under the suit. Good luck with whatever you do!
