Question about comprable female bodies

Hi everyone!

I have been lurking around these forums, looking at all the custom sweetness and absorbing tips and tricks, for a very, very long time. Now, I have finally signed on, because I have a question for my own customization needs...

I need help with comperable bodies for Wonder Girl and the Our Gang Darla. I can get 6" 'teen' and 5" 'child' repro bodies on the web, but only the male bodies. I need to find the proper scale female.

If this question has been answered before, please let me know, I did a basic search of the forums but could not find anything. Then again, I didn't know what to search for other than "wonder girl" and "Darla"...

In searching around the toy isle, I came across a smaller scale Breyer Girl (Show Jumper Chelsea) that I think might stand in for Wonder Girl, and would have more articulation than the original. For the 5" body the only thing I could find that might possibly work is the little Mattel Barbie sister... So, my question is, are there more appropriate/superior alternatives that anyone has found? Honestly, I'm just looking for similar scale and to not be glaringly different from their Mego bretheren. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The smaller Breyer girl body is your best bet for Wondergirl. As for the smaller one, I don't know.

Take a look at the Paradise Horse riders. The line features figures in three different sizes, and the small ones might work for you. Can't say for sure, as I've never gotten any of those. They are named Georgia, Olivia, and Millicent.

Thanks for your input! I will let you know how it works out once I get them. I'll be getting the Breyer Girl tomorrow, and probably have to grab some of the Paradise Horse Riders online. Then.... on to my dream customization project!!!!

You might want to try and find the CTVT Brady Bunch Cindy for the Our Gang Darla.

if you want to wait a few months, Figures is repro-ing Wonder Girl and I'm sure they will offer the body.

I believe all the child-figures use the same body? There isn't a difference between the bodies Cindy and Bobby uses or Darla and Spanky or Talking Tina and Willie is there?
You can get child-bodies from Doc Mego, which are sturdier than the FTC ones.



For female "Teens", i've used a Disney princess figure, but they don't have much articulation.

You can get child-bodies from Doc Mego, which are sturdier than the FTC ones.

They do.

*Cindy and Bobby used the same FTC kid(5") body.
*Talking Tina and Willie used the the same DM kid(5") body.
*Spanky was on MEGO kid(5") body but Darla was on a straight leg/arm female kid body with bendy legs. Here is a photo pulled from an Ebay Auction:

Looks as if it's the same as the original. Straight arms but not sure about the legs yet.

I had actually wondered if Darla and Wonder Girl shared the same arms on different torsos, seems odd that Mego would sculpt an arm type for only a single figure, but it looks like they did in comparison. And thank you for the heads up, I'd forgotten about Cindy and Tina! I don't mind the extra articulation for what I'm making.
