Painting resin heads--tips?

I have two new resin heads that I would like to paint. Can anyone offer tips on types of paint to use, prepping heads for painting. etc.?

I got some acrylic primer but I couldn't really tell if it made any difference. Just get some good acrylics and nice sable brushes and start painting! Hobby lobby is a good place to shop,for supplies. I recently bought some acrylic paints at Joann and they were awful! I finally had to repaint with better quality stuff.
