New Figures Toy Company/Classic TV Toys bodies--opinions?

Figures Toy Company has been offering a lot of new figures and more bodies lately. Does anyone here have opinions or word on how these new bodies are? I know they haven't been so great in the past.

Any word would be appreciated. Thanks.

The quality is there in my opinion but I find the leg movement too tight. Not a lot of high kicks.

I have heard it has gotten way better... If you are looking for the BEST caucasian body though, you might spend another buck and go this route...

      http://www.8inchsuperstore.com/type-...-body/#reviews

Don't take my word for it... see what other people are saying... You even get two extra pairs of hands to boot... you might hurry though this price ends when this run of bodies is sold.

The FTC body is much improved but smaller than vintage Mego. It is strung very tight, which can over-stress the shoulder joints.

I ordered some last summer to make some customs and thought they were very inconsistent. One had a broken hand and one had the "Ive got to pee stance". I don't know how the new ones are but you should definitely use the new type S body from David Lee's post above. Its light years ahead of anything else.

The new Type-S body is amazingly poseable & very durable.

But be advised that certain CTVT/FTC clothing will not fit on it properly.

Classic TV Toys new Caucasian body is $7.00. It is very close in similarity to the Mego Type 2.
The rubber bands are too tight, so I will figure something out to fix it. Maybe restringing with the elastic cord like I did with their old bodies. I really like the looks of these otherwise.

As David said though, the Type S from the 8 inch Superstore is the best way to go for your $7.00, and you're getting the extra hands, and NO RUBBER BANDS to deal with!

Just give us clothes that fit your bodies Dave!!!

their new is made in China is better than the really brittle earlier stuff (made in India?). Although on my larger orders I feel like I'm still getting a mix and match of old and new stuff.

If you really need a skinny body, I've found the white bodies fairly durable, but you still need to restring them into up and down rather than crisscross (As they come) to lose the peepee stance.

But yeah, in terms of Bang For your Buck the other companies like CAT and EMCE have surpassed them.

I'm pretty happy with the new FTC / CTVT bodies. Lighter weight plastic or perhaps they are thinner, but much better quality than the first run they had. The hands are much more flexible and less prone to breaking. The only thing I think that really hurts these new bodies and figures is the too tight bands. If they can get that issue worked out I do believe they will have a lot of long term success.

CTVT Bodies that are used on their Retro WGSH Batman figures are very well made and resemble to perfection the Mego Type 2 body. You will have to re-string though to achieve the poseability and stances you want...

Why bug with that? Use the new CAT/ZICA Type "S" bodies. These are the Mego bodies of the 21st century! NO rubber bands, extra hands (fists & grips) and bolted torso to assemble several head types. You can't go wrong with these!

Hands down the S Body is the best out there. I have some of them and couldn't be more happy about it. Top notch QUALITY. You can actually pose them with out them breaking.
They move smooth and look great. The extra hands is a bonus for sure. Not to mention they look great. my 2 cents.

                        I agree
The best part so far is they have held up to 4 year play for 2 weeks thus far.

My kids play pretty ruff -
so its nice to see them take the pounding.

Hey fellas, any word on how the KISS series 1 clothing fits the new S Body? I'd love to replace my four figures' bodies with these, but I'm afraid the clothes won't fit. Those S bodies look super sweet.

Hey bro! I'm planning to upgrade my FTC Retro Batman figures with the new Type "S" bodies. Would the clothes still fit? Would they fit loose? Tight? Thanks in advance!

^I have not tried to convert all my figures yet, but--on Joker for example--the clothing is very tight on a larger, non-FTC figure. It really strains the unitard. The Bruce Wayne suit, which is already cut slim, is tight, too.

For an FTC Robin, which I haven't tried yet, the design of the suit/separate pieces will likely do very well on a different body.

Mind you, this is not a critique of the superior Type-S body, merely an observation about FTC's slightly smaller body. They have patterned their clothing accordingly, and some of it is less stretchy, too.

You will also need to bulk-up neck plugs & wrist pegs to switch them.
