    I've done a dumb thing...

In my crafting toolbox I was storing almost 20 vinyl Mego and CTVT heads. Also in that box was an unopened pack of black powered Rit dye. Somehow the dye pack got opened. Now my heads are splotchy black. Water makes it worse. Is there anyway to help, if not save, the heads?

I also managed to speckle part of my kitchen counter too. Bleach based tile cleaner worked pon the counter, buy I'm worried about using bleach on the heads and making things worse.

RIT makes a color remover, I'd try that first.

Could always start with the bleach based cleaner on just one CTVT head and see what happens, also a future tip, always store even unopened rit dye in a ziplock baggie, that powder gets everywhere

Vinyl takes in the dye like a sponge. The dye has to be pulled out. To remove it, oxy10 or Clearasil cream and a lamp can work (if you have a few hours to keep an eye on it).
It will dry and get crusty, but by the time you are ready to throw in the towel, it usually works.
Dye that has blended into the paint may be another story though. It is cool what you can do with it, but I'd be cautious about using it. I had to use it on the Peter parker Head I received that was turned into Burt Reynolds, but the clearasil used on a bruce wayne head drained the blue dye out of the nose of his batman cowel. You kinda have to be cautious about how you use it. Also a few weeks later you may see a white film that needs to be cleaned off.
        Cheers,

Theres a product thats been mentioned on here several times. It will remove permanent marker from vinyl. The company is out of Maine or Vermont. Ill see if I can find it later on google and post it. Cant for the life of me remember the name.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

^^ U may be thinking of Removzit, which is pretty much the same thing as Clearasil.
