Alchemy Jones or Arcane Science gone Stupid!!

Howdy all! I've been a little slack on doing customs lately. I have a bunch of
stuff in the works. So until I get around to finishing them, I thought I would post a couple of kit-bashes I did for fun. Enjoy and thanks for looking.
    Wayne

Alchemy Jones was a greedy little fellow, but not very smart! One day by
accident he actually discovered how to change base metals into gold. How-
ever on that day he was also making a batch of chicken soup. While checking
on his chicken soup Alchemy Jones stuck his snout in the wrong pot!
KABOOM!!! His alchemy experiment blew up forever altering his face.
Alchemy Jones got his gold, but would never ever be able to eat his chicken
soup again. So sad, so very sad

HEAD: Original Mego Wizard of Oz painted gold with some grey touch-up
    to his hair and brows.
BODY: Paco, from a lot of bodies I bought from Paul Riggs aka Merlyn1976

Hat, shirt, and boots from Joe at the MegoStore
Pants I sewed from black cloth
Bag from the MonkeyDepot and I'm not sure where the pliers came from

I've been know to stop in at Norton's Pub and throw back a few! The Goon rocks, almost did a Dr Hieronymous Alloy custom! Course I really dig the Buzzard. That whole western ghoul thing is cool

Looks Great QDogg. Looks like you got your hands on a pair of the Castaway boots as well.. Nice score. Very nice gold paint on the head. Congrats.

I love it on both counts... why aren't more customs strange and original? I have seen enough Batmans in every scale and format to stretch, when laid end to end, to the damn moon. Not to offend anyone as Batman is my favorite hero (and I am right now formally begging someone to make a Bernie Wrightson "the cult" batman custom), but I think for toy customizing to be taken seriously as a art form ( and I believe to be a valid art form) we NEED more stuff like this. Look at the gallery shows that have been popping up (exhibit A) Vinyl Pulse: Pics: Action Man 40 40 @ Blink Gallery (05.16.06) )

This figure is awesome, and were I to meet you I would give you a manly embrace.
Sorry for the random rant, and if anyone needs any soap I will be pleased to get down off this box and send it to you.
