Are you talking original Mego female, CTVT or DrMego repro?

Since he says it both the left leg and arm that sounds like a Doc body - original Mego and CTVT bodies had leg to leg and arm to arm connections.

I'd say contact Doc and see if he has replacement hip pins.

Dr.Mego female body. Great, I've done this one a few times.
My choice is to customize a CTVT's male hip pin, CTVT India made male hip pins are of a softer plastic, yet they are shaped to hold great stress. Softer plastic are a pain to sand since they fray/attach more the dust/off like the harder plastics. Therefore, extremely course sandpaper is the best. Trust me, I used some course emery-boards and it took forever. Lots of test fitting is required during this process. Once the male hip pin plug is the diameter to accept the female leg hip pin recess. Split rings can be added to accommodate elastic cord restringing. See MegoMuseum tutorials; Restringing CTVT body, and Restringing Type 1 body.
doc1eye tip: Always pull cord tight enough to test body posing before tying off, many stringing and body design flaws will appear with this added step. Tying off can wait until the body preforms properly.
