Am I the only one who thinks a mego custom Hot Rod would be awesome? I can see my various mego's now as a guest on Piper's Pit. LOL

Any suggestions what head would work? I actually thought Brick Mantooth would be a possibility, but the hair isn't right.

Maybe enlarge the GI Joe 25th Anniversary 3 3/4" version? Although it might not be easy to get ahold of a loose one.

Plenty of cloth kilts running around from the original on the LJN figure to a few that Jakks released in the Classic Superstars line. I'd love to see it if you do it!

Clothes is no problem. Got all the parts squared away from the neck down. Just gotta find a head likeness I'd be excited about or it's a deal breaker. Even the Jakks Classic guys didn't quite capture it for me.

I'd definatley be going for the young, WM 1 Piper with short hair.

I often thought about doing mego customs of the Road Warriors too because I think they'd be fun.

I'm currently working with a Hulk Hogan bootleg figure that is perfect Mego sized. Perhaps they made a piper too?

That's a Hasbro and is around 4 inches. Piper largely escaped the bootleg scene. That particular series of bootleg shown above included "adaptations" of Hogan, Snuka, Studd, Sheik, and Andre.

are the LJN figures Mego size? I thought they were 8 inches.

LJN are rubber, one piece and the head again doesn't have a great likeness. I'm keeping my eyes out but not too hopeful I find the "right" head anytime soon.
