I love the Mego Oz line and am formulating a few customs.
But the Mego Munchkins themselves are fairly expensive and, to be honest, pretty ugly. They do not have the charm or craftsmanship of the 8" Ozians IMO.
A great substitute are the Barbie Munchkins! They are a bit smaller, more poseable, and their costuming & deco blend well with Mego Oz. They are also much more affordable.
There were also more of them produced, compared to Mego's Mayor, General, & Dancing Girl: Mayor, Lullaby Ballerina, Lollipop Boy, and (in a three-pack w/ base) Lollipop Boy 2, Flower Girl, & Sleepy Tot.
They look great with the Mego Munchkinland playset.
