Here comes another one. Flash villain Captain Cold. Resin head, my paint and a custom suit.

I gotta give you a kudo or two. I love this villain and when my daughter and I started making customs. This was one of the baddies she picked out for her personal "Legion of Doom."
You get that head from Brian Leitner? I was going to buy it and I wound up sculpting my own out of a left over Fonzie head and homemade goggles.

You know what would be a nice touch? Take a little bit of that fur and go around the edges of the hook gently so it has that furry look on the hood. That is what I did with mine.

When I bought the fur I intended to do that, but couldn't get it to look right and show the features of the face. You always saw the underside of the molded hood or hid the face. Maybe I'll make a custom head that leaves a better mounting arrangement so I get the best of both. I'm so damn picky, I can't stand myself sometimes. I'm sure others know what I mean.

Reminds me of the story about the tedious guy I met on project customs board a few years ago. He cut and painted little rocks, filed, painted and glued them to a Famous Cover's Hulk body and made a really neat looking Thing. I would have slashed both of my wrists being that tedious and anal but the outcome was awesome. Wish I remembered the guy's name. I think it was Jeff something...
Heck, if I can get the custom to look good. I leave it at that. Just the way Mego created them. Easy and handy to play with. Ask my daughter, she is up to 80 customs now.
