Need the rooms opinion on a project
fero lad.jpg I found this weird legion of super heros figure FERRO LAD at Liquidation World today. I have never heard of this guy before. He was only 1 dollar so I scooped him up. He is made of plastic and seems to be about 5 inches tall. I now want to make a custom 8 inch Mego of this character but am wondering which head I should paint silver. Its between Iron Man and Batman. I am leaning towards Iron Man but any insight would be welcome. Has any member in here ever made this custom before?

That would make an awesome mego. Not sure about the head however; though an Iron Man one seems like it would be the best fit. Though there may be another one that's better that I don't know about.Last edited by Operation:Mego; Jul 9, '13, 1:24 AM.sigpic

I know someone here made one a while back, but I can't remember who....
The best way to do the head would be to get a recast of any head, and putty over it so's to get the domed mask effect. It'd be a good project for a beginning customizer 'cos it's fairly easy, it'd give some experience manipulating the putty, and the simpler design would be a good exercise at keeping things balanced and not making them lumpy, out of proportion, etc.
