Should I sell Extra Mego Heads

Guys I have a question and your input will decide which way I go. As many of you know I have just released a series of Custom Hammer figures. As you will also know they are limited to 50. When I order from my caster I always order over what I need, so for 50 I will order 60 heads. Would it be wrong of me to sell the additional heads at some time in the future. I am not talking about having extra heads cast but selling just the extras I already have. I would not want to do anything to affect the purchases of those who have bought the full figures
    Many thanks

You're just selling heads, not whole figures.

Your original buyers aren't losing out.

They're your sculpts, that you paid for. It's very admirable that you're not doing anything to affect the limited quantity of the complete figures. I don't see anything wrong with selling the heads. I'd be interested, depending on what's available and the price.

I'd be interested in purchasing "heads only" as well. Let us know what YOU decide

As someone who has and plans to support the line with figure purchases, I think selling the heads does undermine the figures. I would feel differently if they were not marketed as limited and numbered.

While your figures are spot on from head to toe, the head sculpts would be the most difficult aspect of the figure to replicate.

                  Just my two cents.

I have heard from a few customers both on and off this list and have decided NOT to sell the heads. Although I know I could make a few $$$ I feel I have to take care of the customers who pay for the carded figures. Many thanks to all for the input.

why not just make more dolls with the heads?

I think you should sell heads. It would really help customizers like myself who don't do their own sculpts. We rely on others work but enjoy using our own paint jobs on them.

If the extra heads were un-painted. I'd say sell away. Give other the chance to do a custom of their very own. No doubt your finished product will be distinct in its own right. But spare heads will give people the ability to express their own artistic view of the subject without having to buy a complete one to re-customize.

Just an idea but why not give them away in some kind of raffle? If there are only 10 left over why not let the members of this room have a chance to win one? Again its only an idea.
