Nick Fury gun suggestions?

While I am getting close to chewing off my own arm while waiting on the Jump suit I bought off Ebay to arrive, I've been looking at lots of different side arms that might work - of course it's hard to know what will fit in the shoulder holster until after I have it as well.

Any ideas or thoughts on hand guns for Old Nick (not the Samuel Jackson movie version).

I would start with a Dr Mego gun and modify it to make it look bad@$$. I love doing stuff like that. the more details on the details the better. Hollow out the barrel and paint the hand grip. I also melt the hand to make sure the gun fits well. also, give it a shiney paint job to make it look like it's made of metal.
