I think you should at least try to recoup your losses.

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

Mike. I might be interested in some of it for my personal collection. If that makes me a bad guy... I can live with that. Shoot me a PM.

Zilla, when you put it like that, I think the stuff you found is yours, and should be considered Original, and YOUR work, not his, (or at least a collaboration), as he used your talents on his customs.

So his say in the matter is void, and you have every right to sell things you made for him that he technically didn't pay for, to recoup your losses.

He's the one who flaked on you; it's the ethical equivalent of selling off the contents of a storage shed for past due rent IMO.
I have to agree with this. The storage unit comparison sold me on it.

Yeah, I would go crazy putting that stuff out on the market if I were you and wouldn't think about that flake at all. Make some money, bro!

Do what you have to! If he had any honor he would not of ripped you off. He disrespected you and therefore does not deserve your respect. I personally am tired of people like this stealing from whomever they want without repercussions. Make all the money you want off of him. If he really cared he wouldn't have put you in the position to do so to begin with.

I don't agree with making copies, but I think you have the right to flip/sell anything in your possession.

I agree with this. I understand why you'd want to recast, but I can't encourage you to do so.

I wouldn't lose any sleep recasting the stuff you purchased from him considering he ripped you off.

based on the comments, i'll make the stuff I have available until I recoup $1000 or I get tired of going to the post office. I'll try to get a list together and pictures this coming weekend.

Well I feel like if you gave him money and didn't receive the goods for said money, you have every right to resell, recast, or do anything else with the items you have because they are not his anymore more, there yours. I look at like he borrowed the money from you and put the items you have as collateral. Maybe the deal didn't start that way but you have defiantly waited long enough for him to make good on his end.

It's really a shame the way old Charlee ruined his name with the way he did business, a very talented artist who just couldn't or more like wouldn't do the work needed to justify the high dollar his pieces commanded on the market. I feel bad because I was a definitely a fan and he strong armed alot of people into alot of money up front with no output at all!!! At least the customizer's of today mostly seem to be hard working and committed to there craft and have kept the Poseable Art that I LOVE to see alive and well!!!!!

While I don't do any casting or sculpting my 2 cents is that probably legally the heads he sent you would be considered abandoned property and are yours to do want you want with. If he has abandoned the the property he has given up the rights to it and I don't see an ethical problem with recasting.

I have had problems with a couple people......outting them had resolved the problem......they always delivered afterwards

Then I always mentioned it was resolved
