Safari Hunter -- WIP

I was goofing around with a AJ Safari suit and started adding to it for a Big Game Hunter. The Jean Lafitte head really gave a post WW1 look to him. Working on the Pith Helmet to give an explorer vibe to him.







Still have painting to do and need a better Elephant Gun.

Going to do the same to the AJ soldier and sailor...See how they would look super-detailed.

Thanks for the kind words ....when I put the head on the old Type 1 body it looked pretty cool then I put the suit on him and I really started playing around with him and ideas started popping up. I kept thinking about some story I read as a kid about Sir James, late of His Majesties Army against the Kaiser but I can't remember where I read it. (maybe an ERB story) When we were kids we did this stuff with or AJs, we just didn't have all the cool stuff available now.
Recipe...so far.
CTVT head is on an old type 1 AJ body. (because I like those bodies best - I guess it's because that's what I played with as a kid)
The glasses are off a Dollar store figure that Merlyn sent me -- ( actually I bought 5 or 6, I buy in bulk)
The haversack is from PMAJ soldier (it has a journal (from the dollar store figure) and a mego mess kit)
guns are Paco guns
canteen is AJ canteen covered in AJ Fisherman waders material.
Machete is from a Rambo set
leather belts and bits -- me
everything else is MEGO...

Merlyn1976 picked up a bunch for some of us.
