to shrink or enlarge a casting/mold

Does anybody use these methods? Seems better than hydrospan...
You can accomplish this by either shrinking or expanding a rubber mold using solvent.

Sounds like a good idea. Planning on the 12" stuff, Lonnie?

I don't have the funds to finance such a venture. But that would be a lot of fun, though!

Good find Lonnie, I have used mineral Spirits to expand a DragonSkin mold, It works pretty good. You have to be super careful with the molds as they get kind of fragile. They are also super slippery! You have to dry them very well and I reccomend letting them ventilate a bit... even trapped vapor will fould up a resin cast.

Enlarging the original is best IMHO, but this will work in a pinch, especially if you plan to tinker with the cast and re-mold it...
