Licences of the Mego Era and customizing question.

I've been thinking about this while I procrastinate about my next Mego custom. Thinking about all the licensed subjects that Mego could have tackled and those that Mego did cover and how I've appreciated them or grown to appreciate them over time. For example, When I was a kid I could not stand Star Trek. Probably because I couldn't understand most of it. But for some strange reason, I owned a Kirk and Spock. I also wasn't a big fan of Johnny Quest either back then. Back then, I thought it was boring compared to Super Hero type cartoons. But I would love to to have a Mego Johnny Quest now.

So let me sum up my questions here...

    1) What Mego licensed media did you hate as a kid but learned to love as you matured?

    2) What Mego era Media did you hate back then but wish Mego had licensed now?

PS. just to round this out completely. When I was a kid, The Walton's was a family favorite TV show and oddly enough I never owned a single Walton's Mego until I started collecting them.

I didn't really hate any of the licensed media, because I only ever got three. The Waltons, Batgirl, and Wonder Woman, all of whom I loved dearly.

As for the era Media? Hmmm...there are a lot of licenses that they could have picked up that would have been really popular.

We've all gone over the Star Wars license to death, so no need to beat a dead horse.

I wish that they had done Indiana Jones, or even the newer Star Trek movies, and I don't mean as those itty bitty figures!

    Uh.....let me think.

I wish that they had partnered with Disney and given us 1:9 scale figures of their big stars.

    Cinderella and her Prince.

    Snow White and HER Prince.

    Stepmother and ugly stepsisters.

    Evil Queen from Snow White.

Maleficent! She could team up with the Wicked Witch of the West!

The Seven Dwarves could have been done on the Our Gang type bodies. It's not entirely impossible.

Excalibur! (movie, not comic book!) Who doesn't love evil Morgan Le Fey? Or Merlin? Or Mordred?

I know they had already done the King Arthur and his Knights line, but Excalibur was vastly different.

I have to confess, I dearly love the Waltons line now, but it's only because I enjoy & collect the show on DVD.

As a kid, it was all WGSH & Trek.
