My old Tony Randall as Dr Lao custom...

Most old time Museum people will recognize this from years ago, but I thought some newbee's might like seeing it.

It was the first FROM SCRATCH custom I ever did.
The head was sculpted by myself using MANY layers of Super-Sculpty baked in my oven.
Took about 3 days to sculpt.
I think it was baked at least 5 times (between layers)

The glasses were made using a paper-clip twisted with needle-nose pliers.

It was mounted on a 9" Mego body using shrunk 12" clothing.

    Worst problem was the beard......
It didn't allow for turning of the head.

Unfortunately this custom was made for a friend who is no longer with us, so all I have remaining is the bad web-cam photos I took before I sent it.

Actually, I thought the photos were all lost too....
I just discovered them this morning, so thought i'd show them off

Totally cool, Mike. First time I see it, wish you had some other pics of the complete custom

      Thanks Thomas.....
I've actually only tried sculpting from scratch 3 times...
      Back in the dark ages

One of my sculpts was Kingdom Come Foilman.....

I was always quite proud of this one, though.
Thanks for looking and the kind words

You've only sculpted from scratch 3 times and one of 'em looks like this? Man, you really need to start sculpting more, you could make some amazing pieces

Looks nice, Mike. Great movie, too.
