I was thinking these might work too:

Looks like something like that would work.

Just failed at my first attempt to attach the cape. Fabric glue did NOT want to stick to the nylon cape, but that's okay I also snagged some snaps at Joann's so I'll just go with my 2nd option. At some point I'd like to make a cape from a shampoo/detergent bottle, since it's the same type of plastic the Shoguns were made out of. May be beyond my skill level though. :/

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

Okay, well heck, here's what I have so far. Dragun head from old vinyl toy above, body is a CTVT I had laying around and all the clothes are Doc Mego repros. I'll be using the red Shazam style cape, and the stickers I still need to print up. I'm not super happy about the fit of the red tunic, but I have no sewing skills, nor the patience, to make something myself.

Also, I just realized this probably should have been in the "works in progress" section. Should I have it moved?

Photo is from my iPhone, thus the graininess.

Thanks! Figure is looking great!!! Keep going! I had hoped those gloves would work for Shogun Warriors and they look great! I found some cheap toy cars at the Dollar store that would work great for wheeled boots ala Shogun Warriors toys. Maybe to much?

Interesting. I was trying to think of a way to do a wheeled boot. My first boot choice was actually the RA Superman boot, since they're a little bulkier, but the color is a little too light. I thought I might be able to find some little model wheels to attach to them since they are relatively flat. I don't know if it would work on the repro super-hero boots. Were the cars you saw little round guys?

The cars were molded in clear plastic and I think they were rounded. I though it might be possible to cut bottom of cars where wheels and attach them to fit bottom of the boot and shorten axel if needed. On the bottom of Shogun Warriors foot there are 2 long cubic rectangles that block in the Axel on each side. Maybe Micro Machine wheels would be a better scale?

First decal test came out pretty nicely. Used the files above, a free trial of Photoshop to get them to the correct size and color, and regular ol' labels with tape over the top to make them look glossy (thanks to the suggestion of mishu2nite). I may forgo the tape, and have more of a matte look, haven't decided. This is just a trial run, you can still see the white of the label on the very edge. Have considered using clear labels to avoid that issue.
