    Presenting the Great General Ursus

Here is my custom General Ursus, which has to be my most favorite custom I have done so far. It is also my very first custom paint job on a Mego face, which makes him very special. He started out as a mere soldier ape but then worked his way up the ranks to become the most feared general in the history of apedom. The first photo I have attached captures the essence of his naked merciless power.

He is sporting a removeable helmet composed of 3 various clay substances that were baked and then painted, edged with a fake leather mantle.

In addition to his outfit, all of the props that you see in the photos were handcrafted by me, from the English saddle hidden beneath the fake leather hyde, the horse's bridle, the removeable leather knee high boots with a toe dent, the ape rifle enclosed within the leather rifle holster, and working saddle bags also of leather.

He also has a soft side:

Nice work Jessica. I've not seen anyone use a Soldier Ape to create a General, but this really works. Nice work on the clothes as well.

                              Jessica,

He turned out great. The jacket has a lot of detail, its very impressive. And who knew about that softer side? That photo is too cute.

Looking forward to more great ape couture.
