    Paint question

I am looking to paint some brick heads for a special project, I am looking for a factory look.

Anything other than acrylic known to work without residue? I heard there was something available in the automotive aisle but not sure what.

I asked this question a few days ago. Got a few different answers, was hoping for a concensus.

Interior vinyl paint. Works well, but it's tricky to use.

It depends on what the brick heads are made of. There is some automotive paint (for vinyl) that sticks great and dries really well on certain types of vinyl. On other types of plastics it doesn't ever dry. there are paints for plastic that work just the opposite. I'd buy some dupli-color and see how it works on a test head. You'll know within a minute. If it's dry you're good. If not, it won't ever dry. Also, you're somewhat limited in colors.
          Fresh, not from concentrate.

I bought the wrong stuff already at $7. a can I bought from a automotive supply store Rust-Oleum paint for plastic and I should have bought paint for vinyl. I painted a hard plastic Gijoe chest and my results were odd. Paint stuck well to body but scratched easily with finger nail. So not sure if it needs a 2nd coat or a clear protective coat to work better. It also seemed to get harder over time.

It’s very thin and runny, so you gotta apply it carefully. It also coagulates quick too. On a Mego head it’ll soak in; bonding better than the original paint. (So make sure its exactly where you want it!) The colour selection is limited, although you can mix it. It SHOULD work on a Brick head.

dupli-color works incredibly well on a Brick head.

I wish I had mocked up a better paint mask for him but wow, total win.

                    Word of advice, work outside.

Was that the touch up in a bottle with built in paint brush, or a can sprayed onto a pallet?
