    Finding Parts

    Hi everyone.

I'm new to the forum and to customizing.

I'm working on some custom projects but I'm having a hard time finding parts.

I'm looking for parts to make some ninja mego figures, I need a ninja head and katana sword with sheath. Any ideas where I could look?

Also where are good places to get reproduced or custom mego parts ?

    Thanks for any help.

Start a thread in the Marketplace with your want list, that's a good way to start.
And you can find a list of shops for repro and custom parts in CustoMego

        Hmmmm....

If you're feeling ambitious track down some of the Japanese "Mononofu" weapons. They're collector's sets, Mego sized, made of metal. The Japanese styled swords are pretty common. They turn up on ebay a lot. The only problem is that HERE they're "rare collector's items" and can sometimes be expensive. (I got 'em form Japan when they came out for something like $3 a set.) A lot of toy importers sell 'em too.

Dollar General and the Dollar Tree have cheapo ninjas right now with lots of weapons.
Don't be sorry. How would you know? You've been watching MTV all your life.

GI Joe Sigma Storm Shadow has some cool accessories and they should be to scale.

I would get some swords off existing toys and put some more cloth-like stuff on them, you can get strips of leather at a hobby store and lace the sword handle with it.

They should've been, but they're not. Almost all Sigma Six weapons are made for 12" scale hands.

That "pistol" is more than 30 scale inches long. It's a BFG.
