    Hydrospan 400 expands in water!

I don't know if anyone has come across this before, my apologies if this is old news.

In the past when i've attempted to reduce heads to 8" scale and the Hydrospan copy has shrunk too fast, i've had to do it again.
However, i've just found out, by accidentally knocking an old head into some water, that it expands again very quickly.

I was under the impression that once it shrank that was it.

That's neat to know. But does it stay at the size you want?

At the moment it is, but when it dries out it will start to shrink again.

So HydroSpan 400,.. Is the stuff you need to make say a 12inch head, 8inch scale ?

How long did you let it sit in the water? I tried this once, but the head looked like a shrunken apple carving. Perhaps I didn't leave it in the water long enough?

after a day in the water it expanded from 5" scale to 8" scale.

I know what you mean about the apple carving, i dropped another head in the water and it has started to expand but is very wrinkly, another few hours and it should be back to normal

Makes sense. If it shrinks as the water evaporates, it should "re-expand" as water is added.

I thought it might be useful to know.

The number of times i've had to re-shrink heads

Hmmm I didn't know that but I'll have to give it a try with a few of my heads that just shrunk down to JLU figure size
