Scarlet Spider

This custom is my most unusual, considering that the whole Spider-Man clone storyline in the 90's was the final nail in the coffin for my comic book collecting. Despite the lousy story line, I did like the look of the Scarlet Spider. I found one of those 10 inch toyBiz figures at a flea market and shrunk the head as much as it would shrink. Then I re-painted the eyes, which had come off during the shrinking. The red suit is from an FC Magneto, on an original Fonzie body. The hooded sweatshirt was in a box of clothes i won on Ebay. I painted on the Spider symbol and used the anklets an wrist bands from the toybiz figure.

According to Web #118, as Ben Reilly is walking through the streets trying to decide whether he wants to be Spiderman or not, he walks by a store with this particular hoodie (the blue one with the spider on it) hanging in the window - and takes it as a sign of what he should do.

BTW - nice job on a tough spidey variation.
