    Washing Oldie Mego Suits???

So I got a few old body suit. Old Mego ones, and I was daring to undertake cleaning them up. See if I could make them presentable at least. BUt I have No clue where to start.
I was thinking of using a glass jar as my washing machine and just using warm water and some kind of detergent. But which one?
I read a post that mention wisk as a good detergent but what about adding Clorox color bleach to see if I could boost the color and get out the dingy's.
If someone has a detergent to water ratio or formula for washing stuff like this it would also help greatly.
I'd rather not fail too horribly at this. These are old suits but I dont have many.

I use something with Oxyclean in it, and it usually works pretty well. I got a particularly nasty black stain out of a Maskatron shirt by using dish soap (not the kind you put in the dishwasher, the kind for hand cleaning) and the Oxyclean.

I heard somewhere that baby shampoo was pretty good. It's supposed to be very gentle.

Use just a teeny little smidge, enough to suds up the water, and gently manipulate with your hand.

Oxyclean worked very well when it came to cleaning up my old Raggedy Ann doll, who was turning brown from years of exposure to cigarette smoke.

The clothes were okay, but the body! The water actually turned brown!

        She cleaned up wonderfully though.

I was needing to ask this as well. I need to clean up that superman i was trying to sell a while back. I have a gobbie and a few others as well with small spots. As far as drying, i imagine air drying is the best way.

As for drying, I put the clothes in one of those little mesh thingies that are for drying unmentionables and dry on the lowest setting. I don't think the material will shrink, but I don't take any chances. Have cleaned up Cap America, Iron Man, Batman and Robin outfits successfully using these materials.
