Need Help. Want to make Creature from the Black Lagoon

I have always wanted to make a Creature from the Black Lagoon figure but Mego old school style.
I want to know if anyone has a head sculpt of the Creature. I saw the one at Doc Mego but not happy a with the ear sculpt.
Also, can anyone recommend a way to make a print bodysuit with the scales like the Creature? I was thinking of using the scale suit at Doc Mego but not happy with the matching to actual Creature scales.

I would get a pale green body suit, and then repetitively lay thick green fabric over it that have the scale pattern on them, and then somehow get it to stick

reproheads makes a creature printed suit, then get a monster body for the glow hands, doc's sea creature head, and you have a non Universal monster that would fit in with the rest of the Mego line of non Universal monsters.

Get a head from Starbuk, a Creature bodysuit from Austin (reproheads) and gloves and feet from the Neptunian and voilà: Creature from the Black Lagoon


I added leather strips to the suit for the scales, but they are printed on the suit. And I added nails to Neppy's gloves and feet for detail. But this is basically what you get with above mentioned parts

I still want to know what that patch of brown is supposed to be in his "area".

No replies on the head so far. Anyone else know of a good head mold that will work?

I guess you could always use the head from the 8" Sideshow Creature figure
You could even attach the hands and feet to a Mego body

That's a great idea but for me it's TOO real and not very megoesque like yours. I want to keep that toy feel and away from the detailed model look.

I guess I might just go with the Doc Mego head since I'm getting no replies.

Then I would go with Starbuk's head. It's not overly detailed like the Sideshow head, but still detailed enough. And personally I like it better than DM's head.

I contacted Starbuk and no replies. I would prefer to use his head but so far haven't heard back from him.
I guess low number posters are on the bottom of the food chain.

Just be patient. Come to think of it, haven't seen Buk here in a while, so he probably hasn't seen your message yet

I am and I ordered some parts already.
I'm so patient that I have an order still waiting to ship from the Megostore since November. Not sure what is going on there but fingers crossed.
