    Need Custom Help/Tips

I was able to get a some Hasbro Spider-Man Signature figures and have some custom ideas, but need help.

Also keep in mind I am not very good with tools!

I feel like the Daredevil head would make a great Red Tornado, but how would one go about getting the horns off the head and not damage the head?

How would one remove the DD symbol from the costume

What would one use to make the yellow stripes for Red Tornado's costume?

With the Captain America head what would the best way be to remove the ears in order to make a Barry Allen Flash head? Or would it be better to use a Daredevil head for Flash?

I appreciate any help/tips you guys have!

Personally, I don't like working with original vinyl heads for this stuff. I'd cast them in resin and alter them that way. I find it easier to sand resin than cut vinyl. Then if I make a mistake, I can always patch it up with sculpey and paint.

There are tons of ways to do the things you are asking about. Adding stripes can be done with colored electrical tape, can be added with ribbon or material and some stitch witch, I'm sure there are many other ways as well.

Thanks Dave. How much money do the supplies for casting in resin cost? I'm afraid my custom desires might also be handicapped by lack of finances.

Any help and info is appreciated!

I razor off unwanted parts of a vinyl head and wet sand with extra fine sandpaper....

What would one use to make the yellow stripes for Red Tornado's costume?
          Yellow vinyl aka a beachball....

Or you can buy a resin head for $10. There's plenty of suppliers and between them all they have pretty much every head you can imagine

The hasbro heads are solid plastic, so they are easier to work with than hollow ones. Some light sanding would work on the DD horns, Cap's ears and wings, slice them off with an exacto, and then sand it smooth. I wouldn't worry too much about the ears being smooth since the flash's wings will go there anyway.

In fact, if you leave the surface a little rough, wouldn't it allow whatever adhesive you use(superglue, modeling cement, etc) to grip better?

to take of things off on a head I would just buy a very sharp exacto knife, it makes a clean cut.

Right. You should avoid buying dull knives whenever possible.
