I need a custom Green Hornet hat made, any help?

I am looking to get a repro hat for my Ideal Green Hornet puppet. Any one know where I could get one or if some one could build one?

I don't mean to hijack your thread. But your post reminded me that when Castaway Toys does their new 8" Captain Action line, they better license/include the Green Hornet and Kato.

I wonder if there is a doll/action figure from some line that would have a similar hat. It would have to be a pretty big figure.

Starbuk makes Megosized hats, maybe he can make them larger too

My thought exactly. He made me a couple of fedoras a while back and they are perfect.

If he can get something to scale for you I am sure that will work best.

            Good luck!

Is there a molding kit at Michael's or Hobby Lobby? I was wondering if I found the right size hat, i could make a mold out of it and use green sheet of plastic and mold it to it.

The easiest way to make a hat like this, or any small hat for that matter, is to vac-u-form it.

                  Two small problems there:

                  1. I dont have a Vac-U-Form (but I could easily get one off ebay)

                  2. I cannot find a fedora even close to the size I need for a die to use in a Vac-U-Form

I have been all over the net trying to find something close. Closest thing I found so far is a brown fedora for a 12" Indiana Jones figure.

I am gonna hit Hobby Lobby today and see if they may have something. I pm'd Starbuk, hopefully he can help.

Can the Vac-U-Form sheets be used with out the machine? Maybe I can get a green sheet and try one in the oven; but I will still need to find a mold as well.

OK, I may have found a hat. It is from a Dick Tracy puppet. Can this rubber be dyed?

Painting rubber is a beeyotch. It doesn't take much for the paint to chip and come loose again. I still think Buk is your best shot
