Stubble tutorial needed....

Can somebody out there post their recipe and instructions for painting 5 o'clock shadows? Thanks in advance

AirBrush or flock.....That is the question....

1. Mix your eyebrow colour with your flesh colour.
2. Drybrush your mixture onto the area where you want stubble.
3. "Feather" the edges slightly so it looks natural.

Thanks for the tips guys I was going for the brush on technique, so the dry brush technique sounds perfect. I'll report back with my results...

I usually just do black for eyebrows, am I being lazy? Should I match the hair color?

Blondes and redheads usually have brown eyebrows. It looks more natural.

I often just mix a tiny bit of gray/black with my flesh color and paint the shadow area, and feather some wet flesh tone into the wet shadow area. The trick is to keep the paint wet. Just one of several ways to do it. Using the eyebrow color like ABMAC says is probably more realistic....

Or, use a tiny brush and paint every separate hair stubble ;-)

Thanks for the great tips Is that your head sculpt you used as an example? If so that is exactly the look I want.
