Where's a good place to get Mego size furniture?

I'm going to be making a Dida playset in the future and I need some office furniture for it.Where's a good place to get Mego size furniture for a 8" Figure?I tried ebay but they have items for dollhouses but they're not the right size.Any help that anybody can give me would be greatly appreciated.

The best Mego scaled furniture are the ones you make yourself.

Danny, you might want to check out some of the old Marx furnishings for Sindy. Might fit the style you are going for.

I find if your wanting a desk or free standing structure, it's easier to get some balsa wood and construct it it from there. It's fairly easy to brush on the tones you want from there. And it's cheap!

yes and by the time you've found what you're looking for on the internet, you could have made a few office chairs already...

I'm working on a display of sorts also, some of the furnishings i am making from scratch, some are modified "doll" house parts that can be upscaled to Mego scale and others are from Barbie,Sindy,Bratz etc accessories which alot of them like Barbie are actually too small for Barbie and more Mego scale it seems, but again that stuff will have to be painted etc.

Thrift store or Good will. Grab some Barbie Stuff IE: Most of the time it works Mego-wise. Else grab a dremmil and do some venting as you convert!

Laser Mego has terrific stuff, though really only if you're re-creating Moonbase Alpha or the Enterprise bridge.

Frankly, the majority of Barbie furniture is easily 3/4 the size it ought to be, making it just about right for MEGOs.

That Eames chair is exactly the sort of thing I was referring to: Nicely detailed, a reasonable facsimile of a famous piece, etc. The downside of Barbie stuff is, depending on the base material, it can be challenging to refinish and some of the best pieces -- like the chair -- are prized by a variety of collectors and can fetch comparatively silly prices (for example, I think I've paid maybe $7 for that chair but I've only seen it routinely sell for easily twice that).

Actually that chair is from a Barbie knockoff set for "Gloria" that was produced this year.I bought a whole living room set for like 15.00 bucks.I'm getting the Gloria Bar playset next,Bricks gotta have a bar.

I found this Barbie desk set on ebay and I was wondering if this would work for a mego figure?Of course it's going to have to be repainted for a male figure desk set(no pink or purple),let me know what everybody thinks. Thanks again to everybody with their advice.

Yeah, you can make that work, but i would expect to have to do more than just repainting. You really dont know what might have to be done until you get it.These are Barbie "scale" playsets so they are "supposed" to be for figures larger than Mego. The chairs and couches i've seen are too deep for Megos which means you have to do something to either the front or back to make it right for Megos. On the chair i just megosized,i had to cut about a 1/2 or so off the front of it to make it less deep. This is what it looked like before: The height looked good so i didn't have to do anything there. You will probably have to modify the chair, but the desk may be ok,you really wont know until you have it.Hope this helped.
