Female head sculpts: What I wish existed

I've fallen in love with the Ellowyne Wilde doll. The sculpt is absolutely beautiful!

Her eyes are perfect, and the paint job is something that a lot of doll artists wish they could do.

I even like the hair that she has, along with the interchangable wigs.

Tyler Wentworth is another doll that I like, although I ain't about to pay THAT much money for one! LOL!

If only there were vinyl heads, in the 1:9 scale, that could equal that sort of beauty and craftsmanship.

The only Mego sculpt that really compares to the above mentioned is the Mary Ellen Walton sculpt.

The Supergals and Dinah, as much as I love them, are kind of cartoonish.

Mary Ellen has this calm, almost assessing gaze, with high cheekbones, and a not too pointed chin.

Dorothy is kind of cute, but she's a little too cutesy. Kind of reminds me of Rebecca of Sunnybrook farm with her braids and dress. Give her red embroidery floss hair, and bright red spots on her cheeks, she could be Raggedy Ann in 8 inch form.

Feel free to chime in as to what doll sculpt you'd like to see in 1:9 scale.

There aren't a lot of them out there; they're mostly geared toward the 1:6 scale dolls, and action figures.

Takara CoolGirls would look good in 8 inch scale, as long as it wasn't done on the cheap.

I am practicing my sculpting skills but I cannot make any promises ladies. I personally would like to see the characters from Star Blazers/Space Battleship Yamato done as Megos. Nova and Starsha would be great and they can be adjusted to look not too caricatured.

I own these tiny figures and they are guiding my way towards making Mego sized heads. I just need more practice:

I like Dorothy and Sue Storm (non-zombiefied...).

My Dorothy made a SUPER trek yeoman (in my Gallery), fitting in perfectly. I recently got another one with the hair trimmed, so I need to shape that 'do into a Janet Pym custom...

I'm hoping to one day do some hair plug and convert my Batgirl into a Medusa..

Now THAT is what I'm talking about! I'd love to see female heads, of that quality of workmanship in 1:9 scale.

It would certainly raise the bar for customizing, wouldn't it.

From what I remember of ZICA's female headsculpt, it's pretty darn close to the Tyler Wentworth sculpt, wouldn't you say?

For over a year I've been looking for a useable Sue Storm head in 1:9. The Toy Fantatic's sculpt just might work. I'll let you know since I have one.

My wife wanted a Barbie so I shrunk a vintage Wig Magic (?) head. She was non rooted,sculpted hair but still had the original face.
My problem: I have never done a resin head for a female Mego before and I have no idea how to attach it. < help?>

Dave, I've always thought the original Uhura head looked more like Pam Grier than Michelle Nichols. I painted a tiny little gap in her teeth and it worked pretty well. I just need to get around to restyling the hair someday.

I don't need overly realistic sculpts, but I'd like some ethnic variety. Most anime heads in this scale don't actually look Asian. Painting a Caucasian head brown or tan will do Ina pinch, but I'd like to see heads that actually look like they could be of African, Latino or more exotic backgrounds.
