    Making Kaji

I want to get into making toys like Super7 does and stuff like these:

How do you make the cast though for that time of hallow body and articulate head ? I'd like to see how the whole process for toys like that are done.

making Kaiju like the factories is "practically" impossible in the hobby field. There are lots of customs out there, but the search for a non-toxic non-hot melt vinyl substitute is like the search for the holy grail.

Check out the super& forums at skullbrain.org (I'd read a ton and lay low...those guys "don't take kindly to new folk 'round there" not 100% of them, but they seem to be generally unwelcoming)

also, this is one of the best posts I've seen of the hands on process of small run soft vinyl production: http://toykarma.blogspot.com/2010/03...-and-wrap.html

Hope that helps even a little.

Yeah, it doesn't look easy. I guess i can always just make non-articulated ones. Like Super-D's.
