Captain America shield

I am wrapping up a Captain America to add to my custom collection. I have always wanted to make improvements to the Mego version since they missed so many necessary details. So now I need a shield to give him as a finishing touch. I would like to avoid the Mego shield if possible. It's not a terrible idea, I just want to know what others have done. I know there are many options out there now with movie just being released, but the 8" scale is not too popular, and the shields are pretty modern looking and shiny. Any suggestions?

I made a Golden Age version with sculpty and found a non-shiny shield from one of the many Cap figures marvel puts out.

There are several aluminum stickers that look cool.
Here's one guy in evilbay motors: QTY 2 CAPTAIN AMERICA THIN ALUMINUM EMBLEM LOGO BADGES | eBay
Perhaps he or another seller could size them to your specs?
