    Cards or boxes on customs?

    Which do you prefer?

Somewhat depends on the line. For my Trek figures, for instance, I use cards... since that is what I associate them with. But in general, boxes are cooler.

Always a tough choice-- personally, I prefer cards, but my customers are about 60/40. Boxes/Cards.

Boxes for me. That's how I grew up WGSH Megos.

Cards for me. more artwork from the card and a better view of the figure. I do like the cleanliness of boxes though. Still cards win out.

Like sprytel said, I prefer cards...especially for the Star Trek figures. But the catch is you can't take Em' out and pose them. So for figures like my Batman:Year One I'd go with a box. With a box you can take the and pose them...but it also keeps the dust off them.

I agree that it depends on the figure when I'm doing a custom.
***More specifically if the original figure I'm basing a custom on had a card or box.
I've heard folks mention they liked boxes because of storage space issues.
I know mailing carded figures isnt as easy . And upgrading to a resealable clamshell is an extra production cost.

I always preferred carded Megos when I was a kid, so that's all I collect.

As far as customs are concerned, I prefer clamshell packaging. It gives you the best of both worlds. It looks like a bubble/card, but you can open and close it like a box.

I love the boxes because, unlike cards, you can take them out and don't have to spend extra money for the case to hold them if you do want that option on card.
