Anybody Customize a Action Jackson Helicopter backpack?

It still works. What are the side "fuel Tanks"? Based on guidebook photos I assumed they were battery compartments. Can I cut them off?

    I'm making a Action Man/Adventure Team turbocopter.

    Thanks!

I dont think this is in the line your question is pointed, but because it touches on a project I'm fooling around with. I'm posting this.
I have been trying to make my own Heli-pack for my AJ. I hope to make it hover-able (At least) under its own power. Currently I'm using dental floss containers as the casing and trying various camera type motors as the propeller engine. These motors are usually small but powerful. The problem seems to be that the motors require 3+ volts to power them. This means bigger or more batterys onboard. I'm hoping to solve this wieght vs thrust ratio problem. It would be cool to have an AJ hovering around and not sliding down a silly zipline wearing a useless heli-backpack!

Tether it to a variable speed train transformer and use thin strand wire. When I was in R/C they used a similar method to train helicopter pilots how to hover. Electric tethered helis wouldn't fly away when they lost control the way gas ones would.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Back to the original question, the two tanks on the side have no function and can be removed with no effect.

Awesome. I'll get to cutting on the fuel tanks.

The copter pack I bought has the line with it. I havent tried it yet but thats a cool variation on the Turbo Copter!
I'm seeing many of my first AJ stuff just recentlly.
