    Evidence of Ancient Alien Customizers!!!

Ok. seriously though. Last week a trip to G-will produced this find. My third Mego since I started visiting this new Goodwill venture. But this one was different. It shows signs of attempted customizing. The face shield / hood appears to be a combination of vynil table cloth material and masking tape. I got no clue about the glove. (I could'nt find the other glove.) The coveralls are classis astronaut with a garbage bag? tie as a belt.

Yeah its pretty cool to find Mego's at a thrift shop. But this was way cooler. To find one with some past little customizers work decorating it. The gove is the real mystery. Its felt cuff with linen hand. It looks factory made and has a thumb sewn into it. The red is outside only so I dont think its a dye job. But it fits the T1 Apes soldier perfectly.

That is cool. Nice find. I used to use garbage bag ties as belts too!

The glove could have been done by some kids' mom or something... but if so, they definitely did a good job with it.

The glove might go to the fighting furies hooded falcon set.

Love the idea of a kid customizing this back in the day.

That's cool. When I come across child-made customs (which isn't very often), I love trying to imagine what the child was thinking or who they were making, be it a completely invented character or something they saw on tv or in a movie. Then I sometimes try to bring it into the modern era by improving/rebuilding their same design with new materials & accessories.

I wish I could find some stuff like this at Goodwill. Neat!
