I think Bratz figures were a rip-off of those fashion ads in the early 2000's of the girls with the oversized heads? I can't find an example online. Were they Dave Madden or McFadden shoes and accessories? They even had a wacky and annoying commercial at one point that aired in movie theaters. Maybe someone knows exactly what I'm talking about and can post an example of an ad?
I've no doubt there was an influence on the whole SuperDeformed thing from Japan as well. Those proportions were pretty typical of Ball Jointed dolls as well weren't they? I can't remember the names of the brands... Dollfie? Blythe? One of them was actually based on a seventies doll by Kenner(?).
They are pretty ubiquitous in my sojourns to Asia over the past decades.
Yeah, some of the Bratz clothes look like they would suit Brick and friends good.I really dont know too much about them and made the mistake of buying a Bratz lot thinking i was going to get some cool clothes for Brick and friends, but when i recieved it,they ended up being like 4 inches tall. How many different sizes do these come in?Most sellers dont say the height of them and if they do it varies.
