Vehicle decals lifting?

Search isn't turning up anything speecific on this. It's probably a no brainer, but what's the best product to use to stick a decal back down that is coming loose? I know, i know...... glue, right? I'm looking for a something a little more specific...... like what kind of glue works best . Thanks!

I think you would be better off repro-ing the decals you have. If they are old how many times might they really last if you have to re-glue them back on?

I was really hoping to stick the decal back down with something and be done with it...... never to have it peel or lift again . I don't think I could pull off reproducing it. It's in pretty good shape otherwise.

What material is the decal? And what material is it adhering to? I would recommend a dab of rubber cement. But it all depends.

Spray adhesive. It's messy but works well. It's better if the decal is off, but you can mask off everything and spray it on the part that has lifted and reapply. You need to mask well. Spray adhesive can get everywhere. I use standard blue painters tape and cut it with an exacto to get the masks correct. Cover everything else and secure it so the spray doesn't blow it off. Careful when you bend the sticker so it doesn't crease just lift it don't fold it. Vintage stickers are delicate. You can get it at any craft store. Elmers makes one as does 3M.
