Boil & pop on type 1?

Does the "boil and pop" out the hands method work on type 1 hands just like it works on type 2 hands? Seems like it would just by looking at it, but I figured rather than risking a hand/arm by just trying it, I'd post here and have someone who knows more than me reassure me. Thanks-

post in the market, someone probably has a spare they would send your way for a buck, might get really lucky and find a kind soul who would just send one.

PM me your shipping address Galaxyexplorer42 and I'll send you some T1 parts that were gifted to me. I had a similar issues several months back and the hand snapped off during my boil and pop and a Mego Museum member was kind enough to mail me replacements parts (and then some) at no charge.
