Star Trek TNG (The Next Generation) 9" figure Playset

I've been searching all over this awesome site, but couldn't find much on the 9" Star Trek TNG figs. I always imagined this was Playmate's attempt to please Mego fans. This morning at 2am I discovered this really awesome site called
Dida Displays: Space Command Center Displayset

And, as cool as this TOS display is, i wold LOVE to create a TNG Playset for my 9" figs. Has anyone here done this? Where would I find back-grounds to use for the walls and floors?
This would be such a cool addition to my collection that i'm rebuilding.

Haven't seen a ton of TNG Mego customs, but they've been done.

There is so much reference out there for Star Trek stuff, I imagine a TNG Bridge backdrop wouldn't be very hard to pull off. I'll keep an eye out. The furniture could be the real problem.

It would be a project, depending on how accurate you want to go. The TNG bridge had that split-level console with the rounded ramps on either side. The chairs and the helms all had very rounded corners... maybe carved/painted wood would give you the best results? Or carefully cut and fitted pieces of cardboard? It would be a pretty amazing-looking display.

Wow that would be a fun set to build! Actually I just looked at photos, and what if you found a wooden salad bowl that is in the right scale? All you would have to do is just cut off the excess and screw it down onto your platform at an angle.

The split level could be done without, it's the panels that I should be able to find, yet haven't found. I am probably putting all the wrong words into the search engine: Backdrop, Background, diorama, ...

no, like the panels...like in the picture with the curved console, the walls. If that picture had a flat display of the wall then i could totally use it. Like on the original 1970s Star Trek playset, but with TNG decor.

Too bad whenever those Trek things are in town they don't allow you to take photographs.

I gotta say, the Bridge backgrounds would be super easy to make in photoshop, Dida style. The walls and panels and floors I could probably do in an afternoon. Are you imagining that big arch thing painted on the walls or as some kind of free-standing prop?

I have been shrinking the 9 inch figure heads to make them Mego-scale, I use the 7 inch Riker/ Picard Chair, and I used Janeway and Dax uniforms cause they fit an 8inch mego body with just cutting the bottom of the pants a little. I could help you make a set of STTNG heads if you send them to me if you wanted them 8 inch.

i'd make the arch free-standing, the walls would just be walls.

I am still learning all of this, I didn't know that there was a company that makes playsets you can customize. I have been thinking of it with shoe-boxes, those craft boxes at Michaels, Those empty book things...but vinyl would be much nicer than glueing paper onto cardboard.

Dida Displays are gorgeous... but don't underestimate the feeling of satisfaction from making it yourself. You might be able to do better than a shoe box, but if you have a strong vision of what you want, I say you should give it a try...

STAR TREK TNG 20TH ANNIV CAPTAIN PICARD IN CHAIR AF | eBay

here's where a perfect chair is, i may just use the Dida display if i get the modern 7" TNG figures...then if i did an inclined floor, it wouldn't make them bump their head...oh...wait...there's not a top when it's open. problem solved both ways.
