    I have some questions

well... I'm in the middle of making my first custom (Kraven the Hunter). I sculpted the head using air-dry Sculpey and now that I'm finished with that; is there some sort of finisher I need to put on the sculpt to make it complete?
And what kind of paint should I use?

I usually use a primer then a couple of coats of future klear (makes a nice surface for paint), the floor liquid polish, on my models then paint another coat over the finished paint job.

      Hmmmm....

I use good ol' house primer on mine. ANY primer'll work. I'd probably use white. If the head is hardened you don't need to spray anything on it to finish it; but paint will stick to primer a lot better than the Sculpey.

I USUALLY use acrylic hobby paints; Citadel, Reaper and Liquitex are the brands I use. Acrylics are thinned with water, so they're easier to use. And they don't obscure detail. THey're very fragile, so you'll have to varnish them afterwards. I use a coat of Testor's Gloss coat, and once that dries a coat of Testor's mat coat. Gloss varnish protects a LOT better, but gets all shiney. Mat varnish over gloss will downplay most of the shine.

I would cast that sculpt in resin and not use the original sculpt on the figure. It's just safer. Sculpey is somewhat fragile and if the figure falls, your head could break and you have to resculpt it to fix it.
