Chrome Body Parts

I seem to recall about a year ago some discussion around members experimenting with chrome-plating some body parts such as a Dr. Steel hand or Bulletman limbs.

Is there a known method that's been successfully tested in this area?

I don't really want to use shiny metallic paint that will rub off the joints during use.

There was a place that did custom elctroplating for models. They did Micronauts but that was long ago.
