I think Jim used them on the Evel Knievel custom Mego Meet figure. Perfect fit.

A couple years back Majorette sold sets with three cars, a few figures and a helmet pencil topper. Dremel out the helmets and they fit on Mego heads. They're rigid, so they might have to be sized for a resin head, but you would be able to paint them pretty easy.

For Evil Knievel, Jim ground out the eye shield and painted trim black. Pez has re-issued a new batch this year for Nascar so a trip to the dollar store should net you enough fodder for experimentation. If you really wanna go for detail. While at the $-store look at the sunglasses. The childrens shades are so cheap. Its like they used thin,dark,transparent plastic for the lens. You could probably cut it with scissors into a eyeshield shape and mount it to the Pez Helmut.
