Now this isn't so much a custom project, as a salvage project.
My 3-year old daughter managed to break the leg on my son's DCUC Nightwing. She snapped the post that goes from the hip to the pelvis.
I have two all-black Batman figures that have the same hip and upper thigh parts.
I was thinking about taking the Batman apart and popping the hip/thigh onto the Nightwing body, and then replacing Batman's lower leg with Nightwing's.
My question is: Are these hard to mess with? I'm wondering if the hip joint isn't attached to some kind of disc that sits in the pelvis? If so I'll probably have to split the Nightwing pelvis.
Also, what's the best way to get these apart? The "boil and pop" method? Just drop the figure in boiling water?
I have an extra all-black Batman, so destroying this one doesn't bother me. Since I have another laying around, it'd be cheaper and quicker for me to scavage parts than buy another Nightwing...IF it isn't going to be a major chore.
Me and my son thank you for your input!!!
