I use magic sculpt, but prefer apoxie sculpt. I can get magic sculpt locally so I don't need to pay shipping. If I could find Apoxie sculpt locally, I'd buy that. Magic sculpt seems to have slight shrinkage when cured.

Scott, I so far like Magic sculpt and now I'm curious about Apoxie so will try that when I get some which looks like will be tomorrow in Portland, tax free!

      Lonnie,
There are two places in Portland that carry it:

      Portland, OR 97232 US
      Phone: 503-231-0226

      Collage on Alberta
      1639 NE Alberta Street
      Portland, OR 97211 US

I'll have to check out those places some time. I have LOTS of magic sculpt right now.

I've been using Magic Sculpt for over 10 years. Never noticed any shrinkage. I always keep it on hand. I know some people swear by Aves Apoxie. I've used it a few times and never did like it. I will always be a Magic Sculpt guy.

So not a huge difference. There's a sculpture house in our area that carries Magic-Sculp.

Apoxie sculpt is the only one I use. David Lee turned me on to it years ago and I always have a supply on hand.

No, not a huge difference, but a difference. Magic-Sculpt is very firm when mixed together. Ave Epoxie is very soft when mixed together. Depends on how you sculpt as to which putty works best for you: Do you use a very light touch? Then Ave Epoxie is for you. Sorta like using Sculpty, which requires a lighter touch. A firmer aproach is needed with Magic-Sculpt. Set-up times are about the same.

Where is that Scott? I'd like to try some. I just bought a small pot of Apoxie, but I always like to try new stuff.

Douglas and Sturgess - Store Locations, Hours and contact numbers

Douglas and Strugess, right down the road from you, Jess. I rode my bike out there today and picked up some Magic-Sculpt. Maybe I can borrow a little Apoxie from you sometime to compare.
