Does anyone know how to add coloring to liquid latex. Can you use dyes for plastic?

The best way to colour latex is to add acrylic paint to it, I usually use vallejo or citadel paints as I have found they are the best, this is like making your own pax paintsthe only thing I would warn against is adding too much paint as it can affect how stretchable the latex is. I know this is method works as I have built puppets with it for years

What kind of latex do you use? Is it the kind sold at craft stores for mold making?Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

Interesting. Years ago, when I was learning the basics of customizing, someone told me to mix latex paint with the liquid latex. I tried it and got nothing of use, and didn't think there was a reliable way to color it. That's actually how I got started using Plasti-Dip. Considering the quality of those craft paints, it's hard to believe they do much good either.Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

I have never tried doing that but Given how smooth they are I would say you would be hard pushed to get paint to stick to them unless you rubbed them down with veryfine finishing paper first, I know I had to do this when I was modifying a doc mego body to make a micronaught time traveller and when modifying a lego bionicle part to be able to glue stuff even with plasti zapCheck out my Electronic Mag here Psycho Styrene Modeling MagazineComment
