Looking for resources for a Space Ghost custom

I am wanting to do a Space Ghost for my next custom. I searched the forums for some examples and i found one i really like HERE done by TCM Hitchhiker. I'd really like some details if anyone knows where he got the suit and head. I have a PM into him but haven't heard back form him yet. I think i've found a head that will work on Brian Leitner's site. I have PM'd him about buying one. I've kinda looked around for a suitable cape. I'd really like one like the one in the link above.... more or less like the Mego Batman style but in yellow. Also, does anyone know where i can get an outfit like that one? I really like it. Thanks for any guidance.

I'd use Castaway gauntlets for the wrist bands...
      White gauntlets
      Just paint 'em red.

You can easily get a white body suit from Doc Mego or CTVT. Ditto yellow cape.

Castaway also has masked heads that could easily be modified. Doc Mego selles red wristbands but I don't know if they'd be big enough.

Thanks for the great ideas so far. I like the gauntlet idea. I may just end up having to buy a white jumpsuit and winging it on the design on the v-neck area and the belt.

sg is a fairly easy custom to do, more of a kit bash.
head - 2 or 3 sources, you paint or hire someone
white body suit - many options on where to buy
cape - probaly one of the easiest to do if you go only yellow
gauntlets - castaway or even red electrical tape with craft foam button attached
belt - again electrical tape or craft foam
emblem - probaly can get one from some one on the list or find one via google search and print on sticker paper

                  good luck!

Thanks so much for all the pics and suggestions. I'm getting closer. Waiting on a head from Brian now. I'm thinking of going with the Cast-a-way gauntlets and doing a little Dremel work on them for the buttons. I have an idea for the belt and cape. I just need to figure out the chest emblem. May go the route megojim suggested and just print one on sticker paper. Thanks again to everyone.

Hey Bill. Looks like a standard white jumpsuit was used and fabric wrist bands were used. There are Space Ghost decal images available here at the museum. I think in Custom Mego section. The cape looks like Classic TV Toys cape trimmed at the end to resemble SG's cape. The head appears to be A Batman with the ears sanded down. If you are working with material from BLiet you got a good start. He helped me get my SG together.

Thanks for the reply ddgaff1132. I do have a head that i got from Brian. I have decided to tackle the outfit myself, just waiting on the wife to sew it together. Need to place an order with Doc for the body, belt and cape and i should be good to go. Going to try and keep this one as Mego-ish in style as i can .

I don't remember what the original head was, but it was a cast I bought from one of the members that used to sell them. I had to do some modifications to the side of his mask. His suit is just a white body suit from Dr. Mego. The chest logo, belt and cuffs were all handmade. The cape is a yellow CTVT hero cape, and I cut out the bottom. Hope that helps, and glad to hear you like my custom.
