Morning all. I thought I would do a custom to honor one of my favorite comic
book artists, Jack,"king",Kirby. I was to young to read his stuff from the 60's-early 70's, so the first time I saw his work was the late 70's-early 80's, especially Captain Victory from Pacific Comics. This led me to his early 70's Fourth World stuff from DC. I really liked his acid-trippy stuff! The weird character names, awesome costumes, exotic worlds and of course the famous,"Kirby crackle/dots!" Omac, Kamandi, and the Eternals from Marvel were just to cool! Even though it was at the end of his career and he only did some covers, I liked the Kirbyverse books from Topps Comics in the early 90's. Captain Glory was pretty cool too!
This custom doesn't represent anyone character, just a generic dude to honor the Kirby look.
Thanks for looking;
Wayne
Body: T2 arms hands painted red, T2 Legs, T1 pelvis, and Remco wrestler
torso.
Suit is a Super-Joe suit and the red Klingon/ Pirate boots are from Joe at the
Megostore.
Head is one of Laurie's "sweet maksed man," heads, paints are acrylic by me.
